I just wanted to let you know that we just received our package today and are really impressed with UKGoods.com. You had the best prices for the "Marathon" (Curly Wurly) chocolate bars by far.
We received prompt receipt of purchase and delivery information and can't believe how fast we got our order! The best part was the packaging, I ordered standard shipping and did not expect to see an ice pack and styofoam to protect the chocolates. Other sites were charging extra$$$ for this and I didn't expect you to do this when I ordered via standard shipping (I thought I'd take a chance and hope the chocolate wouldn't melt!).

I used my very last teabag two nights ago. I was totally jonesing for some tea last night but I was totally out – I didn’t buy any over the weekend b/c I was expecting our UKGoods package. I even contemplated the drastic step of walking to the drug store to buy some pathetic weak American tea to tide me over. Then I went out to the front porch to let the cat out and LO! the box from UKGoods was on the porch! Yea verily there was much rejoicing. At 10:57 am on 4th March, I placed an order for several English Easter Eggs; at 2:36 p.m. the same day I received notification that my order had already been shipped; and at 1:54 p.m. on the next day, 5th March, the shipment arrived safe and sound. From order acknowledgment to delivery in just over 24 hrs. Surely that must be a record, notwithstanding the fact that I am not that far away from you (in DC)! I ordered some UK goods on Tuesday for my husbands birthday on Sunday, ( I was late in ordering them and didn't expect them to arrive until after his birthday). I was advised of the shipment on Wednesday and by Friday the package arrived!! I was a bit worried about the chocolate but it was absolutely great (despite temperatures being in the mid 80's). I thought you might like to hear what happened to the order I placed with you. I ordered an assortment of Cadbury Chocolates from you last month for the counselor at my son's residential camp. All of his had been eaten by a squirrel. When I took the candy up to the camp (just after the second set of bombings), I discovered that Louis had gone home early to be with his family after the bombings. A young man who came over to help me with my son's duffel was also British, so I gave the chocolate to him. You should have seen his face when he saw what I had! He said "Bless you! Real Chocolate!". Billy told me that there were a lot of British counselors at the camp, and he was going to share the candy with them. He found me again before we left to give me back my empty tin and to let me know that the candy was gratefully eaten in about 3 seconds! I just wanted to let you know that I received my order from you today (and I only placed it with you yesterday!). I was very impressed with the service. I normally use a place out in Salt Lake City and the crisps are usually past their "Best Before" date and the box is always battered and partially opened. Not so yours!! I wanted to thank you for giving my family the opportunity to enjoy British fare. My grandmother was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and raised in London. She had the most wonderful stories always to share with us. So reading your newsletter as well as getting the Herald online has been such a thrill for me.
My mother was overwhelmed (at Christmas) with the British Teas and jams as well as the Christmas Puddings with Christmas Crackers too boot. She was so happy. My father, who is Slovak, was very pleased that I did it for her and loved that I made her so happy. For our family reunion this summer we (my sister and I) are giving him a good old-fashioned Slovak picnic with all the fixings. My grandfather (paternal) had a picnic every other Sunday (at his house) for the whole family. All the relatives came. Aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins (and third) as well as Great Aunts and Great Uncles and even some family friends. Always a great time. Lots of laughter and music, horseshoes and even some polkas. It was wonderful! We are planning one for my Dad. He's 80 this year and we know he always loves to see family. This will make his millenium!
